OMG another addition to my blog

MOSES
BENNY

Well, it is Sunday and here I am again posting another, though only the second, additionto my blog. Jack came over yesterday and helped me get my christmas decorations down from the stairwell...and LO AND BEHOLD..I found my Fall decorations that Zane had covered last year when he helped me put the Christmas decorations away...arrrggh. He knew they were there, but he just kept shoving the decorations in front of them...I did have some decorations to put up for fall, but last year I bought some new stuff, and there it all was...I guess it will be new next year, if I again remember where I am going to put it...I think I am getting too old now to put things up high so I might just find a new place for all the storage stuff..a place I can access without asking for help...everyone is busy with their own stuff these days.

Bob and I went to church this morning and then grocery shopping. I am NEVER taking him again..There isn't that much that he can actually eat, especially the snacks, and everything he looked at was stuff he couldn't even think of eating..It was pitiful..BUT I finally got my fresh turkey burgers. They are so much better than frozen ones, and I even sound some light juice he can have. It was a good trip for him afterall.

Now I am home and all the decorations are still where they were yesterday when Jack left..and there seems like there is no place to put all this stuff. But do you think that keeps me from buying new stuff?? not a chance...I love Christmas decorations..geez

Today is Zane's wife, Lauren's, birthday..I am sure for her birthday , she wouldd like to go shopping with her gramma and pick stuff out, and that is where she is...She loves to shop...all my girls do, I think it is a prerequisite to being a girl..

Yesterday, Chelsea's sister in law, Kelly gave birth to their first baby. She was only 34 weeks, but the baby ended up weighing 4 lbs 15 ozs. and 17 inches long..Not that bad really for a preemie. The baby was born with its intestines outside of its body. There was a hole in its abdomen and the instestines have been floating for about 3 months. However, they have known about it and the doctors have been monitoring her all along. They named the baby Sophia Ellen Barrett. Awesome name and she will most likely have to stay in the hospital for 2-4 weeks. Alot of the intestines has already gone back into the body so that is a good thing. Babies are a miracle and I think that more and more these days.

Thanksgiving will be fun this year..we are celebrating with Chelsea and George and his parents and a couple of his brothers. Not sure if his mom is going to be with Kelly or not. So we will see, but we get to stay overnight for a couple of days and spend some time with them. My mother, was supposed to go with us, but it is the holidays and she tries every year to be upset with someone..So this year she is holding a grudge because Chels an Hori had a party two years ago and didnt invite her. We all didnt tell her cuz we knew she would be mad...but of course she found out...thanks Skee... and now, still she cannot get past it...It is one of those..."IT HURT ME SOOO BAD""WHAT EVER... So she will NOT be going with us and will instead be having dinner at Skee's...I cannot make her come with us..so I guess we will have to have fun without her...She has never seen their house though and it is soo pretty..

All the kids now are doing so well on their own, nice houses, great spouses and good jobs..They have it all ..or so it seems. I guess that is what I am thankful for the most...

I have a wonderful family, great kids and inlaws, everyone is self sufficient and I love them all so much. Bob and I have gtotten used to the kids being gone and are liking it just being the two of us..and the 2 bloodhounds..Benny and Moses.

What a great world we live in. I hope all of you will have awonderful thanksgiving with your loved ones and a wonderful new year, but I am sure I will post something before then...LOL

On a not so good note: arrrghh work tomorrow..:-(

Today is the day I start my blog.. I always start everything after it becomes really popular and everyone else is thinking of stopping and starting something new, but it is okay, I don't mind being one of the last ones on the block to conform.

There are so many things that are good in my life right now and I guess this is good platform to post them and feel good about things. Chelsea, our daughter is pregnant with our first grandchild..I think it is a boy. (her husband George might have had something to do with it, but as far as I am concerned, it is Chelsea's baby...lol) They are going to go for an ultrasound in December to find out the sex and even though I thought I would never want that, I cannot wait until I know...What a great thing that is.

I did the old wedding ring above the belly and it said that Chels would have a boy and then two girls.. Not sure if there are any more in store for them, because my arm got tired from holding the wedding ring on a string in the air and I had to stop... Well at least I know that it is a boy.. In my spare time, I also looked up the sex of the baby on the Chinese calendar chart..Feeling pretty confident, it said she was going to have a girl...WHAT???? so I did it on another site and it said girl also..Okay, so I know this.. Chels and Hori will either have a boy or a girl... I know I will be right with that statement and I still think it is a boy...

The other thing in my life that is great right now is my TEEN ACTIVITY GROUP for my teens with Autism or Aspergers. If you don't already know, I am an autism consultant for the schools.. I cannot imagine someone reading this and not knowing that...ummm I tell everyone that and I think I am pretty passionate about those kiddos. Actually I think they are all amazing and I really like working with them.
Well, last night we had our first activity for the year and 5 teens and 5 members of the autism team met at a pizza place to socialize. I just want you to know it was AMAZINGLY GREAT. It far surpassed anything I had in mind. The students who were initially nervous, ended up having great time and lots of good conversation. It was one of those feel good, Hallmark, Christmas moments and I so regret not taking my camera to let everyone know what a great time we ALL had. Our next group night is not until January, when the kids will go bowling, but we are doing other things in December. The little ones will be attending a Breakfast with Santa. The will have donuts, pictures with Santa, not the real one, and ornaments to make and letters to write to Santa. I hope this is half as fun as the teen group. It is our first year to do either of these activities so we are kinda testing the waters.

On the homefront, it is just Bob and I and we are doing pretty good. Bob is through with therapy that he had for his stroke and I am going to sign him up at the YMCA so he can swim and exercise. He has lost almost 30 pounds and looks great..I know he is still losing so I am kinda waiting till closer to Christmas to buy him some new clothes.

We will be going to Chelsea and George's for Thanksgiving. No, that does not mean that I will not have to cook. LOL I am hoping I can talk Gramma Kammrath into going with us, we will see what happens there.

All the Cooper girls will be getting together at Chelsea's on December 6 to make cookies for the holidays. They gave that day some silly name, like COOKIE DAY, and I htink it has become somewhat a tradition. They have it at different sisters houses and Ilike the to all get together. Even Misty and Beau will be coming down from Minnesota and participating.

Zane will be finishing his student teaching next week. He student taught in kindergarten for 8 weeks and then 5th grade. In December, right after thanksgiving he will be taking over a fourth grade position maternity leave. He was lucky to get that position, but the teachers and principal I think really like him. Lauren is teaching in Plymouth in a public school which is a first for her. She likes the job but not the drive. who would

Mackenzie just bought a house in Indy and I think she told me that she and her boyfriend, Derek, are going to have an open house in a couple weeks..before the holidays.. Lets try to fit in as much as we can, right??

So this is my first blogging experience and I feel pretty successful, got all the stuff out of the way..Next it will be more current and maybe I will continue doing this for awhile. It will be a good avenue to show off grandchildren, as the appear from time to time
