There are so many things that are good in my life right now and I guess this is good platform to post them and feel good about things. Chelsea, our daughter is pregnant with our first grandchild..I think it is a boy. (her husband George might have had something to do with it, but as far as I am concerned, it is Chelsea's baby...lol) They are going to go for an ultrasound in December to find out the sex and even though I thought I would never want that, I cannot wait until I know...What a great thing that is.
I did the old wedding ring above the belly and it said that Chels would have a boy and then two girls.. Not sure if there are any more in store for them, because my arm got tired from holding the wedding ring on a string in the air and I had to stop... Well at least I know that it is a boy.. In my spare time, I also looked up the sex of the baby on the Chinese calendar chart..Feeling pretty confident, it said she was going to have a girl...WHAT???? so I did it on another site and it said girl also..Okay, so I know this.. Chels and Hori will either have a boy or a girl... I know I will be right with that statement and I still think it is a boy...
The other thing in my life that is great right now is my TEEN ACTIVITY GROUP for my teens with Autism or Aspergers. If you don't already know, I am an autism consultant for the schools.. I cannot imagine someone reading this and not knowing that...ummm I tell everyone that and I think I am pretty passionate about those kiddos. Actually I think they are all amazing and I really like working with them.
Well, last night we had our first activity for the year and 5 teens and 5 members of the autism team met at a pizza place to socialize. I just want you to know it was AMAZINGLY GREAT. It far surpassed anything I had in mind. The students who were initially nervous, ended up having great time and lots of good conversation. It was one of those feel good, Hallmark, Christmas moments and I so regret not taking my camera to let everyone know what a great time we ALL had. Our next group night is not until January, when the kids will go bowling, but we are doing other things in December. The little ones will be attending a Breakfast with Santa. The will have donuts, pictures with Santa, not the real one, and ornaments to make and letters to write to Santa. I hope this is half as fun as the teen group. It is our first year to do either of these activities so we are kinda testing the waters.
On the homefront, it is just Bob and I and we are doing pretty good. Bob is through with therapy that he had for his stroke and I am going to sign him up at the YMCA so he can swim and exercise. He has lost almost 30 pounds and looks great..I know he is still losing so I am kinda waiting till closer to Christmas to buy him some new clothes.

We will be going to Chelsea and George's for Thanksgiving. No, that does not mean that I will not have to cook. LOL I am hoping I can talk Gramma Kammrath into going with us, we will see what happens there.
All the Cooper girls will be getting together at Chelsea's on December 6 to make cookies for the holidays. They gave that day some silly name, like COOKIE DAY, and I htink it has become somewhat a tradition. They have it at different sisters houses and Ilike the to all get together. Even Misty and Beau will be coming down from Minnesota and participating.
Zane will be finishing his student teaching next week. He student taught in kindergarten for 8 weeks and then 5th grade. In December, right after thanksgiving he will be taking over a fourth grade position maternity leave. He was lucky to get that position, but the teachers and principal I think really like him. Lauren is teaching in Plymouth in a public school which is a first for her. She likes the job but not the drive. who would
Mackenzie just bought a house in Indy and I think she told me that she and her boyfriend, Derek, are going to have an open house in a couple weeks..before the holidays.. Lets try to fit in as much as we can, right??
So this is my first blogging experience and I feel pretty successful, got all the stuff out of the way..Next it will be more current and maybe I will continue doing this for awhile. It will be a good avenue to show off grandchildren, as the appear from time to time
